Dr. Kampe specializes in primary eye care for children and adults. Licensed by the North Carolina State Board of Optometry, Dr. Kampe focuses on the individual needs of each patient through spectacle correction, contact lens fitting, identification of ocular diseases, and diagnosis of visual abnormalities.

Dr. Kampe attended Wake Forest University, where she received her Bachelor of Science degree. She earned her Doctor of Optometry and Bachelor of Science degrees from The Pennsylvania College of Optometry, where she also received the award for Clinical Excellence in the Pediatric Internship of the Mr. and Mrs. Thomas P. Lynch Pediatric Unit. Dr. Kampe was awarded a Certificate of Achievement from Moore Eye Foundation as Optometry Intern in Low Vision as well. Dr. Kampe is a member of the American Optometric Association. She is a member of the North Carolina State Optometric Society and the Mountain District Optometric Society. Dr. Kampe also serves as an Advisory Board Member for Mission Hospital’s Low Vision Center.

Dr. Kampe joined Asheville Eye Associates in 2009. She has practiced at Mission Hospital’s Low Vision Center since 2002, where she provides Low Vision care to patients of all ages. Dr. Kampe has been in private optometric practice in Asheville since 2007, when she established Kampe Family Eye Care, P.A. A native of Asheville and graduate of T.C. Roberson High School, Dr. Kampe lives in South Asheville with her husband and two children. She enjoys cooking, photography and spending time with her family.
