When you request an appointment at Asheville Eye Associates, our highly trained staff will ask several questions regarding your eye care needs. You may be asked to describe any problems you may be experiencing. The appointment scheduling representative will then help you determine which Asheville Eye Associates doctor is most appropriate for you.

Please visit the Patient Education Area on our website and learn about multiple conditions. You will find up-to-date information on many common vision problems, including their symptoms, diagnosis and treatment.

Where can I learn more about insurance and financial matters related to my carrier at Asheville Eye Associates?
A.
Asheville Eye Associates' Patient Financial Services Department is available from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, to answer your questions about insurance, billing, and payment information. Some information you may find helpful are as follows:
  • Bring all insurance information, including insurance cards, when you come to any Asheville Eye Associates location for your appointment.
  • All Asheville Eye Associates physicians are Medicare participating providers. Our state-of-the-art outpatient surgical center is also a Medicare approved facility.
  • For LASIK or other vision correction procedures, such as PRK or CK and some cosmetic eyelid and facial surgery, we can help arrange payment plans. There are plans that require no down payment and allow you to pay for your surgery for up to 60 months.
  • Many medical insurance companies, as well as HMOs, require preauthorization for medical services. Please consult with your insurance company or primary care physician to obtain a preauthorization for services, if required, prior to the date of your appointment at Asheville Eye Associates.
  • Asheville Eye Associates accepts cash, checks, Visa, Discover, American Express, and MasterCard for payment of services. Co-payments and payment of non-covered services are required at the time of your visit.
